Will it play minor and 7th chords?

A

  • No...it really doesnt even play major chords well...it is simply a toy. Hard to get any sound out of the keys and buttons together, at least that is my experience. I can get sound with the buttons separately and sound when I play the keys separately. A cbild would not be able to learn on this accordian. It is a toy only.

What are the bellows made of? Does it come with a music book?

  • Hard to tell but looks to me to be plastic coated fiber board. No song book just a basic instruction book.

      My husband is music inclined. Our 4 year old is learning by sound also and loves to play around with the accordion. If you follow some Utube videos, it is even more fun.

      Seems pretty durable... great accordion introduction; the keyboard one will be easier I would imagine... button style is classic. Sounds Italianish and fun to play.

      My 6 year old has been wanting an accordian. So we finally got her this. She loves the fact that it came in purple. It fits her size quite well and his a terrific little first accordian.

      Its a little tight out of the box. An adult needs to open it and exercise it a little before giving it to the child. Good luck getting it away from the child once they have it.

      He’s been asking for an accordion for a while. This one is the perfect size. The kids really liked it, definitely was a successful gift. It requires some strength getting used to pulling it apart.

      The sound isn’t great and this is obviously not a serious instrument. However it’s super fun to play with and is kind of just cool.
